Morphology
Purple Afghan Kush is a true Indica. We can start by describing its appearance to know what to expect when germinating it. We will do that later, right after we tell you what really matters: it is the most beautiful and mysterious marijuana plant we have ever seen. Without a doubt. Its wide leaves wave from buds as if caressing the flowers they cover. While the lower leaves remain dark green during flowering, the upper ones gain beautiful purple, almost black shades that make it look surprisingly mysterious and elegant.
Its compact, bushy, and medium-sized structure with short branches is ideal for growing in small spaces, but don't get too confident, as it is not very discreet. In fact, it is striking and quickly becomes the queen of the garden. Even if next to it there is a slim and very tall Original Amnesia, our eyes will first go straight to the short and thick plant.
Yield
Purple Afghan Kush delivers extremely dense and very resinous buds at a ratio of 500 g/m2. The amount of resin produced by this strain is also remarkable and of exceptional quality. In fact, as flowering develops, all leaves and buds are covered with a thick layer of sticky trichomes. This way, PAK achieves a majestic white/silvery appearance that beautifully contrasts with the beautiful shades of blue, purple, and lavender.
Aromas and flavors
Beyond its natural beauty, the most surprising and satisfying feature of Purple Afghan Kush is its aroma. Smelling so fresh and fruity, we felt as if we were holding a pineapple and cutting it. That's the scent that PAK gives off. Despite the earthy and spicy aroma of its Kush predecessors, this Afghan strain smells like a tropical cocktail.
Effects
Purple Afghan Kush provides a very pleasant feeling of relaxation. Its high THC levels do not induce an overwhelmingly cerebral effect, but help to relieve muscle tension. You will definitely endure a long-lasting physical and mental period of peace, unable to talk to anyone. Widely used as therapeutic marijuana.
Cultivation
Purple Afghan Kush is easy to grow. It can withstand extremely hot and dry weather conditions without any difficulties. The amount of water for watering, but not the frequency of irrigation sessions, should be reduced by 10% compared to other Indian hemp plants. Remember that despite its tropical scent, Purple Afghan Kush was bred in the Hindu Kush mountains, so it can thrive in dry, extreme climates.
However, there is one aspect we need to be very careful about: the vegetative time. It is so short that its growth period must be slightly longer than usual, so extending it by an additional 20 days before flowering is highly recommended. This means we should wait about a month and a half before starting the visual show, that is, before starting the 60-day flowering period.
